Class Guide
Pre Requisite Levels
Some levels require the dancer to have sat an examination in the previous grade to be able to sit an exam in the grade higher.
For Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet, dancers must sit an Intermediate Ballet exam to be able to sit a higher ballet exam grade.
For Asia Pacific Dance Association (APDA) Jazz, dancers must sit an Advanced Jazz 1 exam to be able to sit Advanced Jazz 2 and Solo Seal examinations. For APDA Contemporary, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre, dancers must sit a Level 9 exam to be able to sit Level 10 and Solo Seal examinations.
Syllabus Class Commitments
Pre School Ballet, Pre Primary Ballet and Primary Ballet only need to attend one class a week.
Grade 1 - Grade 5 Ballet need to attend two classes a week.
Vocational Ballet grades need to attend three classes a week.
Primary Jazz 1 - Elementary Jazz 2 only need to attend one class a week.
Elementary Jazz 3 - Advanced Jazz 2 need to attend two classes a week.
All Hip Hop, Contemporary and Musical Theatre syllabus levels only need to attend one class a week. However, we encourage dancers to pair one of these genres with Ballet or Jazz.
